Demi Moore And Ashton Kutcher Had Tried To Patch Up Marriage In Ex's Caribbean Hideaway
Demi Moore had tried to save her marriage to Ashton Kutcher by going on a make-or-break holiday to her ex-husband Bruce Willis' Caribbean hideaway. However it wasn't enough as Demi Moore announced yesterday (18 Nov 2011) that she was now filing for divorce.
According to The Daily Mail, the couple had jetted to one of Willis's holiday homes last week where Moore had apparently asked for a cast-iron guarantee that Kutcher would never cheat on her again. Not satisfied with the answers, Moore had decided that enough was enough. The trip was a final attempt in order to save the marriage, following a spiritual' visit to Israel after seeking spiritual guidance for several months, and a rural retreat they had taken with a marriage therapist. However it seemingly wasn't enough for Moore to forgive Kutcher who had cheated on her with blonde SARA LEAL on the night before their sixth wedding anniversary.
In her statement, Moore said: "As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life." The couple, who are estimated to have a joint fortune of £185million, do not have a pre-nuptial agreement and so will have to split their assets 50-50 under California law. The divorce case will now begin.
