Lady Gaga Got Naked For Tony Bennett Sketches
Lady Gaga has sensationally revealed how she stripped down for legendary jazz crooner Tony Bennett, who proceeded to sketch her for Vanity Fair magazine. The pop superstar revealed the news during her Abc special 'A Very Gaga Thanksgiving' on Thursday (24 November, 2011), which she directed herself.
After she and Bennett opened the show with a rendition of 'The Lady is A Tramp', which features on the crooner's Duets II album, Gaga shared the surprising story with the audience, saying, "I walked in and said.well Tony here we are.and I dropped my robe and I got into position. I felt shy and thought It's Tony Bennett, why am I naked?". The Thanksgiving show saw the 25-year-old perform some of her biggest hits and she also spoke with host Katie Couric about her short but hugely successful career. Yet, despite her openness with Tony Bennett, Gaga explained she wouldn't be speaking about her personal life, telling Couric, "My love life is the only thing I don't talk about. The day I get married no matter how many helicopters are flying over that chapel they are not getting one picture".
The Abc show comes after Gaga officially opened her workshop at Barneys in New York this week, with proceeds going towards her Born This Way foundation. She also co-designed the upmarket store's Christmas windows.
