Noel Snubs Liam's 2015 Oasis Reunion Offer
Noel Gallagher has shunned his estranged brother Liam's offer for Oasis to reunite in 2015 to mark the 20th anniversary of the band's (What's The Story) Morning Glory album.
The group split in 2009 after the feuding pair fell out during a European tour. Liam has since formed Beady Eye with three of his Oasis bandmates and Noel recently launched a solo career, landing his first number one album as a solo artist over the weekend (22-23Oct11).
The siblings have been trading insults through the press ever since the split, but Liam shocked fans by revealing he would consider regrouping with Noel for an Oasis tour to play the hit 1995 album in its entirety as a celebration of the record's anniversary.
He said, "In 2015, if we can put our s**t aside, we can tour and play the album in its entirety for the 20th anniversary. I'd be up for that... He's (Noel) the one that keeps mentioning it. I want to put him out of his misery."
Now Noel has insisted his sibling can perform the album's tracks, but is adamant he wants no part in the comeback.
He tells Bbc Newsbeat, "He's got my permission to go and play it. He can play it if he wants. I don't mind. I left that band for a reason and that reason still stands."
