Halle Berry Stalker Enters Not Guilty Plea

Richard Franco, the man accused of stalking Halle Berry, has pleaded not guilty in court today (31.10.11).

A man accused of stalking Halle Berry will go on trial in December.

Richard Franco - who was arrested on July 11 after her private security caught him trespassing on her home in the Hollywood Hills - entered a not guilty plea at the Los Angeles Superior Court this morning (31.10.11), and Judge Dennis Landin has ordered him to return to court for a pre-trial hearing on November 28 ahead of a full trial which will start on December 20.

Halle did not attend the proceedings and her lawyer Blair Berk has refused to comment, E! News reports.

James was caught on the property three times in three days, and on one occasion broke into her guest house.

He was also caught spying on Halle through a kitchen door, which caused her to call police.

She subsequently gained a restraining order against him, stopping him from coming within 500 yards of her home and family, including three-year-old daughter Nahla.

Speaking earlier this month, Los Angeles Police Department Detective John Gregozek was called to testify during a preliminary hearing to establish if he should stand trial.

HE said: "She was afraid for her safety and that of her daughter, as well. She hired armed security to stay at her residence 24 hours.

"She saw the defendant standing at the kitchen door."
