Kathryn Bigelow's Bin Laden Movie Postponed

Kathryn Bigelow's forthcoming movie about Osama Bin Laden's life will not be released before the US Presidential elections next year.

Kathryn Bigelow's Osama Bin Laden movie will not be released before the 2012 US Presidential election.

The Sony film - believed to be called 'Kill Bin Laden' - was set to hit cinemas on October 12, but Kevin James' comedy 'Here Comes the Boom' is now set to come out on that date.

According to Variety, it is not known if the decision to postpone is because of politically-motivated reasons.

The project has been in development for nearly a year, before the Al-Qaeda leader behind the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York on September 11, 2001, was shot and killed in Pakistan in May.

A decision about the eventual release date will be made in the coming weeks.

Oscar-winner Kathryn is working with 'The Hurt Locker' screenwriter Mark Boal on the movie, and he was able to secure intimate access with the Navy SEAL (Sea, Air and Land) team who eventually killed the criminal mastermind.
