Morrissey Axes Gig Over Injured Drummer
Singer Morrissey has cancelled another show on his North American tour after drummer Matt Walker suffered a mystery eye injury.
The former The Smiths frontman's U.S. trek got off to a shaky start last month (Nov11) when he was forced to axe the opening date in Chicago, Illinois over guitarist Boz Boorer's visa issues.
On Thursday (01Dec11), the rocker's woes mounted when he cancelled a concert in Oakdale, California at the 11th hour, telling fans former Smashing Pumpkins star Walker has hurt his eye.
A spokesman for the singer said the gig will be re-scheduled for a later date, adding: "More details will be given as they become available."
It's not the first time Morrissey has axed a gig in Oakdale - on his last visit, in 2009, he pulled a show in the city after falling ill.
