Dannii Minogue Plans Low-Key Christmas For Son
Dannii Minogue has no plans to spoil her young son Ethan this Christmas (11) - because the tot shows more interest in decorations than in gifts.
The pop star and her partner Kris Smith will mark their second festive season with their 18-month-old son in the Australian's native Melbourne, but they have no desire to splash the cash on presents.
She says, "We'll be spending Christmas at home in Melbourne this year. For me, Christmas is a bikini and flip-flops, a burger in your hand from the barbecue - and it smells like suntan lotion. But as kids we'd spray snow from a can on the windows and the tree, and people still send Christmas cards with snow scenes on - it's bizarre.
"I think Ethan's appreciation of Christmas is going to be fairly basic. I keep saying to Mum we're just wrapping up an empty box for him, he'll love that - his favourite thing at his first birthday party in July was the balloons."
