Kid Rock Hands Out 1,200 Meal Tickets To Detroit
Kid Rock will be playing Santa in his native Detroit, Michigan this Christmas (11) after announcing plans to hand out 1,200 $25 (£16) gift cards to the needy this holiday season.
The cards, which will be distributed to area radio stations, will be given to struggling families.
The cards can be redeemed at Meijer stores for food items and hampers.
The first cards were made available on Wednesday (14Dec11).
It's not the first time the rocker has shown his generous side around the holidays - last year (10), Kid Rock donated 1,000 meals in the same way.
