Liam Gallagher Will 'Definitely' (Not Maybe) Play Oasis Songs

Liam Gallagher has revealed he will ''definitely'' play Oasis records on his next tour with Beady Eye after proving he could perform without relying on the past.

Liam Gallagher will "definitely" play Oasis records on his next tour with Beady Eye.

The 'Bring the Light' rocker - who formed the band from the remaining members of Oasis when his brother Noel quit in August 2009 - explained he has avoided playing hits by his former group because he wanted to show the public Beady Eye could make it without his sibling.

He said: "Oasis split up, so the last thing I wanted to do was go play them songs. We believe in Beady Eye, this is what we want to do, so we wanted to let people know that we don't need to play these Oasis songs. Now we didn't say we wouldn't. We'll definitely be playing some on the next tour.

"We wanted to get this year out of the way and letting people know we can wipe our own arses without big Noel Gallagher and I think we've done that."

Liam is proud that he had the courage to only play original material from debut LP 'Different Gear, Still Speeding' without relying on the past, something which Noel couldn't do after releasing his album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds'.

He added: "He (Noel) hasn't done it. He hasn't gone out on tour and played his successful album without dipping into the past, and that's his prerogative. We'll definitely play some next year."

Liam - who has previously branded Noel a "complete f***ing parasite" for playing so many Oasis songs on tour - also branded his brother's efforts on his debut solo album as "civilised rock 'n' roll for couples".

He added in an interview with The Boston Globe newspaper: "I've only heard what I've heard on the radio and I've heard it all before, to be quite honest. It's very civilised rock 'n' roll for couples."
