Giuliana Rancic has been ''cracking jokes'' after undergoing a ''successful'' double mastectomy to remove both her breasts after a lumpectomy failed to rid her of breast cancer.

The 'Fashion Police' star went under the knife to have both her breasts removed on Tuesday night (13.12.11) after a lumpectomy failed to rid her of breast cancer.
Following the four-hour operation, her husband Bill Rancic revealed the 37-year-old beauty was in good spirits yesterday (14.12.11) morning.
He told E! News: "G is doing really well. Her surgery lasted about four hours and the doctors were very pleased with the result.
"She had a little bit of pain through the night but is feeling much better this morning and was cracking jokes."
Giuliana thanked her fans for all their "support and prayers", as well as their encouraging messages on social networking site twitter.
She added: "I want to thank all the viewers and fans for their support and prayers. The tweets and notes have not gone unnoticed. I am very grateful."
