Adam Lambert can be part of iconic band Queen on tour this summer, each side announced in the week, a development that follows the singer's 2009 yankee Idol finale performance with original members Brian might and Roger Taylor; yet as their teaming up once more at the MTV European Music Awards in November.

"The intention is to pay tribute to [late singer Freddie Mercury] and also the band by singing some f-cking nice songs," Lambert tells nice Britain's The Daily Star. "It’s to stay the music alive for the fans and provides it an energy that Freddie would are pleased with."

Lambert, of course, admits that he has no intention of replacing Mercury, who gave up the ghost from AIDS in 1991.

"That's not possible," he said. "The means I’m selecting to look at it's that it’s a good honor and one I’m in no means about to shirk."

Adam and also the cluster can tour in might and stop at Knebworth in England, where Queen played their final gig with Mercury in 1986.
