Prince Harry Is Going To Climb Mount Everest

That’s it, I’m convinced Prince Harry is Superman. Think about it. You’ve never seen both of them in the same room, have you? I rest my case.

Prince Harry is reportedly set to climb Mount Everest. Elevation: 29,035 ft. AKA the highest point on planet Earth. Percentage of people who have died in an attempt to climb Mount Everest: 9%.

The Royal is taking part in the charity group Walking With the Wounded, which supports wounded soldiers, an admirable but dangerous endeavor. And Mollie Hughes does not think he’s gonna make the full climb.

Hughes, a 21 year-old who hopes to become the youngest British woman to climb the mountain, told the Daily Telegraph that Prince Harry most likely won’t make the full climb.

"He won't be doing the full climb, as it will take a long time and it requires rigorous training so I think he'll be joining at a base camp," she said.

And that might be for the best. Because here’s another fun fact about Mount Everest. According to the Mount Everest website: “most of the deceased bodies can still be seen as there is no viable way to bring a corpse down without endangering the team or climber.” In fact, some climbers even use them as landmarks.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on whether Harry will be able to make the climb.

“It will all depend on his Army commitments,” Harry’s spokesperson said.

Last year, Harry joined Walking With the Wounded for a trek to the North Pole.
