For Eva Amurri, finding the perfect wedding dress was a lot like finding the perfect mate. “I tried on a ton of dresses and it was a weird, long process,” the actress, who is engaged to Fox Soccer Channel commentator Kyle Martino, told PEOPLE at the Ella Moss 10th Anniversary Party in Los Angeles last week. “I thought that I might like a certain one but I wasn’t really sold. Then I tried on my dress and I just fell in love with it. It’s almost like dating: ‘I think this is the guy,’ and then you actually meet the guy and you’re like, ‘I don’t know what I thinking about that [other] guy.’” Luckily, other wedding details have come easier to Amurri, like selecting a color scheme. “One of my favorite colors is gray so that’s in there. We have a few colors going on.” And the actress — Susan Sarandon’s daughter — also has the help of her fiancé when planning for the big day. “He’s been a good mix of ‘Do whatever you want’ and ‘I care,’” she said, adding that they are generally on the same page when making choices. “I don’t labor over my decisions,” Amurri said. “Kyle and I are both like, ‘Give us the three options and we’ll knock it down to one.’”
