The winner of the 2010 Miss USA beauty pageant is Michigan native Rima Fakih. The pageant was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Miss USA Rima Fakih takes the crown from Kristen Dalton who won in 2009. Rima Fakih’s next competition will be in the 2010 Miss Universe beauty pageant. This is the first time that a woman of Arab/American ethnicity has won the competition.The judges included NBA’s Denver Nuggets Carmelo Anthony, Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner, Paula Deen host of multiple Food Network shows, Oscar Nunez from The Office, real estate mogul Phil Ruffin, Glamour magazine fashion editor Suze Yalof-Schwartz, model Melania Trump, and Olympic champion Johnny Weir.

A special performance by Trace Adkins provided a musical highlight as he debuted his newest single, “This Ain’t No Love Song.” The song was played while the contestants participated in the evening gown segment of the pageant. The band “Boys Like Girls” performed their newest single “Heart Heart Heartbreak” during the swimsuit competition.
