Parvathay Omanakuttan was born on March 13, 1987 in Kottayam, Kerala as the first child of Omanakkuttan Nair.
She is originally from Changanacherry and now lives in Mumbai. She was seven months old when she came to Mumbai with her parents, because her father had to join Taj Hotel and than she was in scdb high school and she did her english literature in mumbai's mithibai college.
She follows the lineage set by many Keralites in the history of pageants like Shweta Vijay (Femina Miss India Earth 2003), Annie Thomas (Femina Miss India World 1998), Nafisa Joseph (Femina Miss India Universe 1997), Mini Menon (Femina Miss India Asia Pacific 1996) and Shweta Menon (Femina Miss India 1994 2nd runner-up).
