Rima Fakih Miss USA 2010The winner of the 2010 Miss USA beauty pageant is Michigan native Rima Fakih. The pageant was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Miss USA Rima Fakih takes the crown from Kristen Dalton who won in 2009. Rima Fakih’s next competition will be in the 2010 Miss Universe beauty pageant. This is the first time that a woman of Arab/American ethnicity has won the competition.

The judges included NBA’s Denver Nuggets Carmelo Anthony, Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner, Paula Deen host of multiple Food Network shows, Oscar Nunez from The Office, real estate mogul Phil Ruffin, Glamour magazine fashion editor Suze Yalof-Schwartz, model Melania Trump, and Olympic champion Johnny Weir.

The Miss USA 2010 pageant was hosted by Curtis Stone and Natalie Morales with backstage insights provided by Joan and Melissa RiverRima Fakih Miss USA 2010-2s. A special performance by Trace Adkins provided a musical highlight as he debuted his newest single, “This Ain’t No Love Song.” The song was played while the contestants participated in the evening gown segment of the pageant. The band “Boys Like Girls” performed their newest single “Heart Heart Heartbreak” during the swimsuit competition.

Donald Trump and NBC Universal own three Miss Universe pageants including: Miss Universe, Miss USA, and Miss Teen USA. The joint venture is known as the Miss Universe Organization.
