In London, Kensington Palace was opened

73-year-old female chimp had surgery

Little Mommy (Little Mother) - 73-year-old female chimp in the family in a safari park in Lyon County Loksahatchi, Florida - considered the oldest chimpanzees living in captivity. Recently, the old woman had surgery to remove a wobbly tooth, and "repaired" minor injury, possibly caused by young males of the group. Kate Middleton Named "Hat Person of the Year"

Kate Middleton Named "Hat Person of the Year", While some fashionistas may never understand Kate Middleton's love for feathered fascinators and hats that look like a giant potato chip, there's one group who appreciates the Duchess of Cambridge's whimsical toppers.

Whale sharks are fed from the hands of fishermen in the Philippines
