David Tennant Marries Georgia Moffett
Former 'Doctor Who' star David Tennant has married Georgia Moffett, the mother of his nine-month-old daughter Olive.
David Tennant has tied the knot with Georgia Moffett.
The former 'Doctor Who' co-stars - who have a nine-month-old daughter Olive together - got married in an intimate ceremony in London before throwing a huge party at the Globe Theatre overlooking the river Thames on New Year's Eve (31.12.11) to celebrate with friends including Stephen Fry and Will Mellor.
David, 40 and 27-year-old Georgia - who has a nine-year-old son called Tyler from a previous relationship - first met in 2008, when Georgia had a guest role in 'Doctor Who' as the daughter of David's character the Doctor.
They announced their engagement at Christmas 2010 after it was revealed Georgia was expecting their first child together and friends revealed they were "madly in love".
A source said before the wedding: "David and Georgia can't wait to get married, they are madly in love. They have tried to keep everything quiet and the wedding is for family and closest friends only."
While David played the tenth Time Lord, Georgia's father Peter Davison has previously played the fifth incarnation of the famous character and he believes this is one of the reasons they first hit it off.
He said: "I suspect that, crucially, Georgia wasn't overawed by David. He's a really nice guy, but a lot of people are intimidated by actors who've played The Doctor. I've been asked to pose for photos with fans who've been shaking beside me, just because I played The Doctor.
"I suspect that goes on too with David, who, like me, is intimidating without doing anything to intimidate. Georgia was able to get over that, partly because she's strong and courageous, and partly because she grew up around an actor who played The Doctor. She was never fazed by meeting TV actors when she was a child - it's second nature to her."
