Michael Jacksons Cheer On The X Factor Stars On Michael Night
Michael Jackson's family put the drama of the DR. Conrad Murray trial behind them to celebrate the King of Pop's music on U.S. TV talent show The X Factor on Wednesday (30Nov11).
Jackson's brothers Tito, Marlon and Jackie opened the show by paying tribute to the late pop star before the contestants tackled classic hits including Billie Jean, Black or White, I'll Be There and P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing).
The Thriller singer's children Paris, Prince and Blanket sat in the audience with their grandmother Katherine, who confessed she never misses an episode of The X Factor.
She said, "It's my favourite show."
The Jackson matriarch took the opportunity to greet the judges, and singer Paula Abdul couldn't contain her excitement at meeting Jackson's mother during the live episode.
Following the show, she posted a picture herself sitting next to Katherine on Twitter.com alongside the words, "Still can't get over taking a pic w/ (with) Katherine Jackson Michael Jackson's beautiful mother! What an honour."
Murray's trial in Los Angeles came to an end last month (Nov11) after he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter relating to Michael Jackson's death from an anaesthetic overdose in 2009. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
