Angie Dowds, Biggest Loser 2011 Star, Found Dead
Angie Dowds, the award-winning television fitness trainer, has been found dead at the base of a renowned UK suicide spot, Beachy Head. She was perhaps best known for appearing on British network ITV's weight-loss show 'The Biggest Loser' where her no-nonsense attitude had been whipping participants into shape since 2005, alongside personal trainer Richard Callender and presenter Davina Mccall, reports Yahoo.
It was MCCall who was among those to pay tribute to Dowds, taking to Twitter and tweeting "Rest in peace Angie Dowds 'angechops'. So so sad". It was believed that the fitness instructor had battled drink and drug problems, whilst also splitting up with her partner earlier this year. Her co-star on 'The Biggest Loser', Callender said, "As an individual Angie was always fiercely loyal to her friends and that same passion with which she loved was also the same passion that made her such a successful trainer, mentor and inspiration. She will be deeply missed".
Police reported a woman jumping from the Beachy Head cliffs just after 4:30pm GMT near Eastbourne in Southeast England - coastguards rescued her body an hour later.
