Arrested Development
Coming as welcome news to the show's many fans, “Arrested Development” has been confirmed to be planning a new season after having ended back in 2006.
The big announcement was made on Sunday (October 2) at The New Yorker Festival, as series creator Mitch Hurtwitz dished plans to produce a shortened season prior to a big screen theatrical offering.
Just following Hurtwitz's revelation, "Arrested Development" star Jason Bateman tweeted, “It’s true. We will do 10 episodes and the movie. Probably shoot them all together next summer for a release in early ‘13. VERY excited!”
Fellow co-star Will Arnett jokingly chimed in, “I’m peeing with @batemanjason at the moment..and we can confirm that we are going to make new AD eps and a movie.”
The Bluth family focused sitcom also boasts cast members including Portia de Rossi, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor and Jessica Walter.
